“It is not what you look at, but what you see.” - Henry David Thoreau.
Wayne Eastep brings to the forefront our understanding of how our mind “sees” and forms an image. Then students will also explore and compare the optics of how a camera “sees” and creates a photography. A portion of the class will be dedicated to psychology and thinking process of observation and visual choice, while another portion will be applied to the photographic process. Technical nuts and bolts of how a photograph becomes an image will be simplified, yet precise in this class for all levels. Improve your capacity to see with the guidance of our guest instructor who built his career as the eyes of organizations like National Geographic and the Smithsonian.
All levels welcome. All camera types welcome. This is a 4-session class, 1 day a week.
